Charlie Conerly led the Giants at QB from 1948 to 1961. He was NFL Rookie of the Year 1948, Pro Bowl selection 1950 and 1956 and NFL MVP 1959. He led the Giants to three NFL Championship games {1956, 1958 and 1959} including the 47-7 win over the Chicago Bears in 1956.
The
hand written notations were made by Charlie Conerly's wife Perian, the author of "BACK SEAT QUARTERBACK". She was a sports journalist and member of the Football Writers Association of America. She has written for Sports Illustrated, New York Times, Boston Globe, Atlanta Journal and Washington Post among others.
